Nomadgic is a local Morocco travel company based in the remote southeastern desert town of Merzouga. We are a nomadic Berber family, ‘AIT-KHOUYA,’ who spent generations exploring, cultivating, and surviving in the Saharan desert, before settling in Merzouga over 16 years ago. We have seen the influences of tourism on our village, and we have worked as cameleers, camp hosts, hotel and riad receptionists, and travel guides during our years in Merzouga. We have worked for various tourism companies to gain necessary experiences, and we see a local, personal connection missing from the existing groups. As such, we organized Nomadgic to fill the gap, and we are looking constantly for new plans and adventures to thrill travel lovers. From our nomadic heritage and the years we spent in the vast Moroccan desert, we are excited to share our culture, knowledge, and deep love of this region with you.
We decided to build Nomadgic as a way to share our passion for traveling, photography, and exploration with those who visit Morocco. We are excited to infuse your travel experience with culture, a sense of the history of Morocco, its customs, and our nomadic lifestyle.
Nomadgic blends the magic and mystery of the desert with the deep, rich history of the nomadic Berber (Amazigh) people, and we hope you will feel our love and respect as we share our lives with you. We speak a variety of languages thanks to our love of learning and interactions with people from all over the world. Our family is committed to trustworthy, traveler-focused interactions that show the deep pride and respect we have for all people.
Experience the magic of Morocco through the eyes of local nomads and get a taste of real Morocco.
